Laura & Toby’s Incredible Old Diary Maleny Wedding

Laura and Toby’s Maleny Wedding Ceremony
If there were ever a wedding day that had it all in spades, this was it! Laura & Toby’s November Wedding at The Old Diary in Maleny was all about family and fun, all the while being chic as ever.
With four beautiful children, the elder Hugo & Lucca who just adored their new stepdad and little Eadie & Duke excited for Mum & Dad to re-affirm what they already were and that is a family. The kids were central to the ceremony celebrations.
After getting ready on-site at this spectacular Maleny property, 2-year-old Eadie just quietly wasn’t having a bar of her flower girl dress!
The children entered first followed by Laura’s gorgeous bridesmaids, all stunned in mismatched black which was a strict dress code of the day.
Laura’s brother Matthew walked her down the aisle to huge applause all around. Let me tell you, this was a great crowd!
Following a love story full of laughter and joy, we did what was only fitting; I asked Lucca & Hugo for their authority for me to go ahead and marry Mum & Toby, by which not only did they give their blessing with an affirmative yes, I invited them forward to surprise Toby with a speech they had both prepared for him.
These kids were incredible, without batting an eyelid they both nailed their delivery, heartfelt and hilarious they had the entire 100 strong crowd in awe.
They both wrote their own personal vows and sealed them with the ring exchange & first kiss before exiting the aisle and ringing The Diary bell upon exit. (such a fun detail at this property!)
During cocktail hour, guests were invited to bounce on the jumping castle and with a tattoo artist on site for these two to mark the occasion with matching ink, a few guests got their own for good measure!
I was lucky to stay on and MC the reception, with an incredible couple, vibe and team on site, this is always so much fun. The speeches were amazing, and the room ambient with so much joy.
The sun snuck out from behind the clouds, just in time for sunset and once the dancefloor kicked off later in the evening, Laura changed into a hot pink mini dress, brazenly breaking her strict dress code of black (as she absolutely should!)
Congratulations Laura & Toby, this one was certainly one of my favourites
