Rhianna & Peter’s Montville Wedding Ceremony
Rhianna and Peter celebrated their wedding day at Spicers Clovelly Estate in Montville, and gosh it was a stylish and elegant affair!
These two darling hearts first met 9 years earlier on a night out, as their friends mingled at the intersection of Eagle & Charlotte Street, adjacent to Eagle Street Pier. When writing a ceremony, I always like to get myself inside the story so knowing this intersection and the iconic Moreton Bay Fig tree nearby, as well as the incredible fig tree right next to the main building at Clovelly, their story started as follows:
Isn’t it fitting that just meters from where we stand, is the most spectacular Fig tree, as the story of Peter & Rhianna first began 9 years ago on a night out with friends, in the very same proximity to Eagle Street’s iconic 130-year-old Moreton Bay Fig.
This was a reflective sweet detail that even surprised Rhi & Pete in the moment! I like to think that every time they see a fig tree from now on, they will think both back to the wedding day and to the place they first met.
It was also a coincidence that they first brought home their sweet Cocker Spaniel Crumpet, 3 years to the day of their May wedding, more fondly referred to as ‘gotcha day’. They kept things intimate without a wedding party as such, but had Crumpet bring the rings down the aisle on her collar as ring bearer.
They did such a beautiful job of writing their own vows, there was hardly a dry eye in amongst the crowd.
They had their beautiful mothers sign as their witnesses, and their ceremony was directly followed by a Champagne Tower before guests enjoyed the afternoon garden party.
May is such a stunning time of year in Montville, with the maple trees on the Clovelly driveway turning to red & gold on their way to the romantic bare branches of winter.
They held their seated wedding reception on the lawn under the stars, and the spaces looked incredible with a sophisticated and elegant concept executed by the teams at Mondo Floral Design and Lovebird Weddings.
Congratulations Rhi and Pete! The two of you, your families, and your adorable little crumpet were absolutely divine.
